It came by pure chance that renowned veteran filmmaker Richard Goss approached Kim about getting involved in wildlife filmmaking. Kim confesses, stating: "I had never before thought of this as a career and couldn't imagine myself getting involved in such a celebrated occupation".

Kim continued to work with Richard for six years. His natural talents soon shone through and he eventually went solo as a fully-fledged Producer/Cameraman, creating Wildhooters Production Company.


Kim now concentrates his documentaries on southern African wildlife, where he also resides.
