1996-1997. Director/Cameraman.
Black-jack, high stakes - filmed in the vast, sun-baked Etosha National Park in Namibia, this is a story of the jackal, a cunning predator and an artful scavenger. Life in the bush is hard, the stakes are high but the jackal is a survivor. It has developed a complex social system in which communication, group co-operation, along with amazing adaptability have led to the jackal becoming one of the most successful and versatile hunters in Africa.

The film is a real life drama that follows the fate of one young male. During his first year he acts as a family helper. As he becomes more independent he moves further afield. Alone and inexperienced, he faces many dangers, including the dreaded rabies and narrowly escapes with his life on several occasions. As an adult he fights off other males to win a mate and finally to have a family of his own.
