The Lost Horses of the Namib - running wild and free, The Lost Horses of the Namib survive in a desert which is hostile and remote. Some 80 years ago their thoroughbred ancestors were left to fend for themselves after the death, in action, of their aristocratic German owner. Since then they have adapted and endured.
This film tells the story of the foal, Silver Blaze and his group. A relentless drought tests the horses to their limits and beyond: they must make the life threatening journey to and from their food source and water. Eventually, conservation authorities step in to help them. This help, however, has far reaching effects and dramatic fights between the stallions ensue. When the rains finally come, the savage desert is transformed into a colourful paradise for this unique herd.
