Strandwolf - survivor of the Skeleton Coast - Behind the cloak of darkness, the shy and elusive brown hyaena or Strandwolf, ekes a living from the Namib Desert coast.

The film tells a story of a female's struggle to raise her cubs in a land, which is both breathtakingly beautiful and brutally hostile. Witness a spectacular fight between her mate and an intruding challenger; her marathon march to a ghost town where human skeletons litter the moving sands. Creep through the empty streets and graveyard of a harbour town with her.

In this landscape, lashed by sandstorms and enveloped by fog, seal pups are born in their thousands and comical penguins set up home in abandoned diggers' houses - here the unexpected is the norm.

This film features sequences never before filmed and unlikely to be captured again.
